Certifications within the last 3-4 years A Pega Developer specializes in designing and developing applications using the Pega Platform, an innovative tool for rapid application development from Pegasystems. This role involves a blend of technical expertise, critical thinking, and collaboration to meet business needs efficiently. Responsibilities: Design and Development: Create robust, scalable Pega applications by translating complex business requirements into functional software. This involves designing data models, workflows, and user interfaces using Pega's low-code development environment. Application Configuration and Integration: Configure Pega solutions according to specified requirements, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and databases. This may include setting up decision rules, data pages, and connecting APIs. Performance Optimization: Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and apply optimizations to ensure high efficiency and reliability. Testing and Debugging: Conduct thorough testing of developed applications, including unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing. Debug issues and implement fixes to ensure applications meet quality standards. Collaboration and Support: Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to align development activities with business objectives. Provide ongoing support and maintenance for Pega applications, including upgrades and patches. Best Practices and Standards: Adhere to best practices in Pega development and stay updated on Pega technologies and updates. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of development standards and guidelines. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for developed applications, including technical specifications, design documents, and user guides. Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Certification in Pega Certified System Architect (CSA) or Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) is highly preferred. Experience: Proven experience in developing applications using Pega PRPC (PegaRULES Process Commander). Familiarity with Pega's Direct Capture Objectives (DCO) methodology. Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles, database models, and web technologies. Knowledge of Java, SQL, and XML is preferred. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex business processes and design effective solutions. Communication and Teamwork: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
