Surgical Technologist - Level 1 Trauma

Schedule

This position requires working four 10-hour shifts per week on a rotating schedule, which includes days, evenings, and nights. Call and weekend availability is required with a 30-minute call response time.

Job Description

The Surgical Technologist will be responsible for providing surgical assistance in a Level 1 Trauma environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience and will be proficient in a variety of surgical specialties including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurology, Vascular, and Trauma.

Responsibilities

• Assist with surgical procedures, ensuring the operating room is prepared and sterile.
• Coordinate with surgeons and other medical staff for optimal surgical outcomes.
• Handle surgical instruments and equipment, including expertise in Cardiac Robotics, LVAD, and Heart Transplant procedures.
• Maintain a high standard of patient care and support throughout the surgical process.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience in a Level 1 Trauma setting.
• Recent travel experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in Cardiac Robotics and associated surgical procedures.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist is required.
