Early Childhood Substitute

Summary Timberline Learning Center seeks a caring, growth-minded educator to join our early childhood team as an on-call substitute. In partnership with a classroom teaching team, the substitute staff member builds community and encourages children to play, learn and grow in a welcoming, joyful environment. Substitutes provide flexible support to multiple classrooms throughout the school. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education, our staff believe in an image of the child as capable, curious, and eager to learn and make sense of the world. Timberline Learning Center is an early childhood school located in Breckenridge, Colorado, for children ages six weeks to six years old. Timberline’s mission is to educate by cultivating the wonder of learning through meaningful partnerships. Responsibilities Minimum one year of experience working with children ages 0-6 Availability on an as-needed, on-call basis Growth mindset Strong communication skills (oral, written, and digital) Demonstrated flexibility, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills Stable housing in Summit County or surrounding areas Ability to pass comprehensive background check (fingerprinting and child abuse registry) Substitutes serve as positive role models and guides for children. They help to create a safe and nurturing environment that fosters collaboration, cultivates wonder, inspires playful learning and connect They assist teachers in the implementation of daily flow, provocations, and routines.
