Project Environmental Engineer - Pipeline

Job Title: Environmental Project Engineer (This job is for a pipeline of candidates for a future opening) Pay Range: $70,000 - $90,000 DOE Job Description We are seeking a skilled and experienced Environmental Project Engineer to join our team. This role involves managing and executing projects related to environmental compliance, permitting, and planning. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in environmental engineering and be motivated to deliver high-quality results for our clients. Location: Detroit, MI, or surrounding areas Key Responsibilities Develop and prepare air and emissions permit applications, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Create Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans tailored to client requirements. Conduct stormwater and pollution prevention planning to minimize environmental impact. Manage environmental compliance projects from inception to completion, ensuring deliverables meet client and regulatory expectations. Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to address environmental concerns and provide solutions. Stay up-to-date with changes in environmental regulations and integrate them into project planning and execution. Required Qualifications Licensed Engineer (PE preferred) in the state of Michigan or eligible for licensure. Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental engineering, with a focus on compliance and permitting. Proven expertise in air and emissions permitting. Demonstrated experience in preparing SPCC Plans. Strong knowledge of stormwater and pollution prevention planning. Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with environmental site assessments and remediation. Experience with compliance, storm water permits, air permits, etc. Familiarity with additional environmental compliance areas, such as hazardous waste management or industrial hygiene.
