Amgen seeks a Specialty Representative or Senior Specialty Representative to deliver clinical knowledge of pharmaceutical products to medical professionals in the San Luis Obispo and Santa Maria territories. The role involves driving product utilization, managing customer relationships, achieving sales targets, and navigating reimbursement complexities.
Responsibilities
- Communicate clinical benefits and product knowledge to medical professionals to drive appropriate product utilization
- Achieve territory sales targets through in-person and virtual engagement, conducting medical education programs
- Develop and manage customer relationships, customize interactions based on needs, resolve reimbursement issues
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy effectiveness and collaborate with team to develop territory plans
- Demonstrate commitment to patient impact while building brand and sustaining sales performance throughout cycle
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, or Associate's degree with 4 years sales experience, or high school diploma with 6 years sales experience
- For Senior level: Bachelor's degree with 3 years sales/clinical healthcare experience, or Associate's with 6 years, or high school diploma with 8 years
- Pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry sales experience preferred
- Experience in oncology, cardiology, inflammation, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, or related medical specialties preferred
- Advanced relationship-building and influencing skills with focus on sales outcomes
- Local market knowledge and adaptability preferred
Compensation: $89,880–$121,602 base
