We are looking for an experienced Cake Decorator to join our team and help us continue delivering exceptional treats to our community.

Our ideal decorator is an artist who takes pride in every cake that leaves the bakery and has a great attention to detail. You understand that every wedding cake, birthday cake, and celebration cake represents an important milestone in someone's life. You are dependable, efficient, creative, precise, and committed to producing beautiful work every single day.

Responsibilities

As a Cake Decorator at Sweet Eden Bakeshop, you’ll play a key role in designing and decorating cakes that are as visually stunning as they are delicious. From custom designs for special events to classic creations, you will have the opportunity to showcase your artistic talent and skillful execution. Your day-to-day tasks will include preparing and applying icing, fondant, and other decorations, collaborating with customers on custom orders, and ensuring every cake meets our high standards of quality and presentation.

Qualifications

We are looking for a skilled Cake Decorator with at least 4 years of experience in cake decorating. The ideal candidate will have:

A strong portfolio showcasing your cake decorating abilities.
Comfortable in working with buttercream, fondant, and other decorating mediums.
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Proficient in tiered cake construction and structural support systems for assembling wedding cake
Be able to lift, stack, and maneuver objects that may weigh 30 to 50 pounds.
Be available between the hours of 7am-5pm on Friday and Saturday
Be able to complete intricate piping techniques including free hand messages
Assist other departments when necessary (you will be cross-trained)
Maintain high standards of product freshness by following HACCP guidelines for storing, handling, and labeling food
