About the Position

Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse - Charge Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 or 26 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year, Charge Nurse experience preferred License: AK RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, NRP Must-Have: Charge Nurse experience Description: We are seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to work in a Charge Nurse role. Candidates must have a valid RN license and certifications in BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, and NRP. This position involves regular responsibilities in the Charge Nurse capacity. Expect to work with high-risk deliveries and antepartum patients in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for overseeing nursing staff, ensuring quality patient care, and making critical decisions in the Labor and Delivery unit. Candidates must be willing to work nights and fulfill weekend requirements. The average number of daily deliveries is around 7, with the possibility of assisting in an increased volume during peak times. The unit includes OB Triage and LDR Rooms. Candidates should possess strong clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team. Priority will be given to those with prior charge experience or those willing to receive training for the position. Time off will be reviewed and approved on an individual basis upon offer. Candidates may be required to float to like units to meet facility needs.
