As a Physical Therapist, you'll help patients regain mobility, improve function, and achieve their highest level of independence while working alongside a collaborative rehabilitation team dedicated to exceptional outcomes.If you're passionate about evidence-based practice, patient-centered care, and making a meaningful impact every day, we'd love to have you join our team.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate patients using evidence-based assessment techniques to determine functional limitations and rehabilitation needs.Perform comprehensive re-evaluations to assess patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans, including measurable goals, therapeutic interventions, and treatment frequency.Provide skilled physical therapy interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, coordination, endurance, and functional independence.Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans, home exercise programs, injury prevention, and safe mobility techniques.Document patient evaluations, treatments, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately, objectively, and within established timeframes.Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive patient care.Maintain current clinical knowledge by utilizing evidence-based practice, participating in professional development, and supporting continuous performance improvement initiatives.Serve as a Clinical Instructor and mentor students when applicable.Promote patient and employee safety by following department policies, infection prevention practices, and regulatory requirements.Represent AdventHealth through participation in community outreach, educational programs, and wellness initiatives as opportunities arise.Maintain compliance with all hospital policies, accreditation standards, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesKnowledge of physical therapy principles, evaluation techniques, and evidence-based treatment practicesAbility to develop and implement individualized treatment plansStrong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skillsExcellent patient assessment and documentation skillsAbility to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, nurses, administrators, and interdisciplinary healthcare teamsExcellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skillsBasic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Windows, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systemsCommitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and professional developmentAbility to build positive relationships with patients and colleagues from diverse backgroundsAbility to read, write, and communicate effectively in conversational EnglishEducationDegree in Physical Therapy required to meet eligibility for state licensure.Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) — PreferredExperiencePrevious clinical experience is not required and New graduates are encouraged to apply.Licensure & CertificationsPhysical Therapist (PT) — OR Temporary Physical Therapist License (PT-TEMP) — is RequiredBasic Life Support (BLS) — is RequiredEducation requirements must meet the standards established by the applicable licensing or certifying body to obtain and maintain required licensure.Why Join AdventHealth?Flexible PRN schedulingCollaborative multidisciplinary rehabilitation teamOpportunities for professional growth and clinical developmentEvidence-based practice environmentMission-driven culture focused on whole-person careThe opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and families every dayPay Range: $32.26 - $60.01This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
