Commercial Landscape Estimator

SES is partnering with an established commercial landscaping company in Reno, Nevada, to identify an experienced Commercial Landscape Estimator who brings strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage estimates from initial plan review through final bid submission. What You Will Be Working On Prepare detailed estimates for commercial landscaping, irrigation, hardscape, and site improvement projects. Review construction drawings, specifications, and addenda to determine complete project requirements. Perform accurate material and quantity takeoffs for landscape and irrigation systems. Develop estimates incorporating material costs, labor productivity, equipment requirements, and subcontractor pricing. Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain and evaluate quotations. Identify potential scope gaps, discrepancies, and change-order considerations. Prepare requests for information (RFIs) and bid clarifications when necessary. Manage multiple estimating assignments while meeting established bid deadlines. Review completed estimates for accuracy, completeness, and competitiveness. Coordinate the handoff of awarded projects to operations and project management. What Type of Person Will Be Successful Brings 3–5+ years of construction estimating experience , preferably in commercial landscape construction. Has a strong understanding of landscape materials, plant materials, irrigation systems, hardscape, and site work. Can independently review plans, perform takeoffs, develop pricing, and complete a bid from start to finish. Understands labor and equipment production rates, vendor pricing, and subcontractor scopes. Is proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with estimating software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or comparable tools. Demonstrates strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines. Is dependable, detail-oriented, accountable, and comfortable working with minimal supervision. Communicates effectively, asks the right questions, and proactively identifies potential estimating issues. Location: Reno, Nevada.
