Licensed Retention Specialist

SUMMARY
Responsible for providing a wide variety of support services to promote Medigap Life’s product portfolio via telephone and internet to increase company revenue and profit.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Existing Client Support: Work with existing clients to discuss current policies and prices and determine if the client continues to have the best health‑care plan available. Renew and rewrite existing policies and cancellations for clients and cross‑sell existing policies. Conduct exit interviews for disenrolled clients. Monitor compliance with program reporting rules and requirements. Update and maintain the CRM in accordance with company policies and procedures. Document each consumer contact with detailed notes. Special Projects: Work collaboratively with staff to advance Medigap Life’s values and mission by serving on internal and external committees. Assist with special projects and assignments as requested by management. Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and all applicable federal, state and local laws where the company operates. Perform other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience; or a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a related field. Two or more years of customer service experience. Active Life and Health Insurance license in the resident state, obtained within 30 days. Working knowledge of insurance services and specific product lines assigned. Knowledge of general industry procedures, practices, and terminology. Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to persuade and present information clearly. Excellent negotiation and problem‑solving skills. Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook, etc.). Time‑management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple urgent requests. Team‑work and independent work skills; self‑starter with the ability to exercise independent judgment and execute decisions. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with customers, employees, and the public. Project management experience. Fluency in English; bilingual Spanish and English is a plus. Commitment to maintaining all company policies, including confidentiality and safety policies.WORK SCHEDULE
