IT Infrastructure EngineerThe IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the design, stability, and security of the organization's IT environment. This includes managing servers, cloud platforms, identity systems, and core infrastructure that supports global operations. This role ensures systems are reliable, secure, and scalable to meet current and future needs.Key responsibilities of the IT Infrastructure Engineer include but are not limited to:Manage and maintain server infrastructure (physical and virtual environments)Administer cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or similar) and hybrid environmentsOversee identity and access management (Active Directory, Entra ID, SSO, MFA)Ensure system security, patching, and vulnerability management across all environmentsMonitor system performance, uptime, and capacity; proactively address risksManage backup and disaster recovery solutions, ensuring data integrity and availabilitySupport network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, and connectivity across locationsLead infrastructure-related projects (migrations, upgrades, implementations)Collaborate with vendors and external partners for infrastructure and security servicesDevelop and maintain technical documentation and system architecture diagramsProvide escalation support for complex technical issues from Help DeskKey competencies:Strategic thinking with strong technical depthProactive risk identification and mitigationOwnership and accountability for systems stabilityAbility to work independently while supporting a broader teamClear documentation and communication skillsSuccess in this role looks like:Systems are stable, secure, and consistently availableRisks are addressed before they become problemsInfrastructure supports global operations without disruptionLeadership has confidence in IT resilience and scalabilityQualifications:5–8 years of experience in systems administration or infrastructure engineeringStrong experience with virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar)Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)Solid understanding of networking, security principles, and best practicesExperience with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planningFamiliarity with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Bash, or similar) preferredDesired characteristics of applicants:Christian.
