The company aims to leverage cutting‑edge biological research to create breakthrough medicines addressing high unmet needs across multiple therapeutic areas, including neurology, pulmonology, cardiology, nephrology, and endocrinology. Located on the Stanford Life Sciences campus, GondolaBio fosters a unique hybrid environment where top scientists from around the world collaborate with senior leadership and advisors, blending industry expertise with academic innovation. Who You Are We are looking for a highly motivated and innovative scientist to join our biologics discovery group at GondolaBio. The selected candidate will work within a fast‑paced, interactive, and innovative research team to assist in the development of novel antibodies. This role will require a highly cross‑functional skillset, including cell biology, immunology, and protein engineering. Requirements | Responsibilities Design and perform studies critical for antibody discovery and validation, including binding assays (e.g., ELISA, flow cytometry, BLI), and functional cell‑based assays, including immunological assays, internalization and cellular trafficking assays. Support translational studies that further elucidate the mechanism and biology for drug candidates, including potential biomarker development, in vivo model selection and efficacy evaluation. Identify and manage CROs to complement internal efforts. Analyze experimental data and present findings to the team. Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records, including experimental procedures, results, and conclusions. Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and scientific publications. Participate in project meetings and contribute to the design and planning of experiments. Communicate effectively with team members and external collaborators. Contribute to due diligence and gap analysis on potential new GondolaBio assets. Education, Experience & Skills Requirements Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Immunology or related discipline with 2+ years hands‑on industry experience. M.S. and B.S. candidates with equivalent experience will also be considered. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Experience with antibody screening and developability assays (e.g., ELISA, flow cytometry, BLI, developability assessments). Strong hands‑on experience with setting up, and optimizing in vitro cell‑based assays, including immunological assays (e.g., ADCP, ADCC, CDC), and cellular trafficking (e.g., confocal microscopy). Experience in designing and executing in vivo studies for efficacy and PK/PD evaluation of biologics. Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and teamwork. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Strong scientific background and achievements in bioscience and translational medicine, ideally demonstrated by scientific publications, presentations, and/or patents. Proven track record of successfully working in research programs. Strong understanding of drug discovery and development processes. Excellent communication (written & verbal) and organizational skills. Ability to think strategically and execute experiments effectively. Experience in collaborating with cross‑functional teams and external partners. Demonstrate creative “out of the box” thinking to solve complex technical problems and champion innovative technologies to achieve project goals. Commitment, drive, and ownership mindset. What We Offer Patient Days, where we are fortunate enough to learn more about the lives we are looking to impact and a real exchange of ideas as to how we can improve our efforts. A culture inspired by our values: put patients first; think independently; be radically transparent; every minute counts; and let the science speak. Collaborative business environment. Excellent compensation package (Base, Performance Bonus, Equity). Excellent benefits package. Flexible PTO A fast‑paced, data‑driven, work environment with world‑class R&D minds and capabilities. Work with the most productive groups of R&D operators in the industry. A platform for meaningful scientific contributions to shine. The base pay range for this position is $100,000 to $140,000 per year.
