Job Function: Buyer Associate is an entry level position for non-experienced buyers. Buyers coordinate all aspects of the purchasing process. Submit request for quotes, purchase order entry, scanning of PO documents, confirmation, and mill acknowledgement management, understanding of mill and pricing agreements, vendor set up, and order expediting. There is opportunity for promotion to Buyer Position after obtaining sufficient experience and achievement. Typing/Keyboarding Computer savvy Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, and other workplace computer programs Ability to handle high volume of Purchase Order entry with speed and accuracy Competencies: Ability to multi-task, Work in team environment, Work with multiple departments, Perform under pressure, Perform under strict deadlines, Attention to detail Strong mathematics abilities. Able to perform calculations, conversions from Metric to Imperial values, percentages, and calculate nested material sizes. Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Travel: No travel is expected for this position.
