Pharmacist - Community Pharmacy

A community pharmacy is seeking a motivated, team-oriented Part-Time Pharmacist to join its team across two Iowa locations.

The Pharmacist will be responsible for providing high-quality pharmaceutical care, including consulting with patients on prescription and non-prescription medications, ensuring safe and effective medication use, and supporting overall patient well-being. The role also requires maintaining full compliance with all applicable federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and safely to patients
• Provide counseling and education on prescription medications and proper usage
• Recommend and advise on over-the-counter medications when appropriate
• Monitor patient medication therapy and progress
• Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws, regulations, and internal policies
• Collaborate effectively within a team-based pharmacy environment
• Represent the organization in a professional and positive manner

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution
• Active pharmacist license (licensure as required)
• Strong communication and patient counseling skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment

Schedule (Rotating 4-Week Rotation)

• Week 1: Monday (8:00 AM-6:00 PM), Wednesday (8:00 AM-6:00 PM), Saturday (8:00 AM-12:00 PM)
• Week 2: Monday (8:00 AM-6:00 PM), Tuesday (8:00 AM-6:00 PM)
• Week 3: Monday (8:00 AM-6:00 PM), Tuesday (8:00 AM-6:00 PM), Friday (8:00 AM-12:00 PM)
• Week 4: Monday (8:00 AM-6:00 PM), Thursday (8:00 AM-6:00 PM)
