Multiple California office locations available

The Opportunity:

A premier national civil litigation defense firm is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate to join their Southern California team. This firm has grown from a boutique practice into a powerhouse, maintaining a reputation for high-stakes defense and client-focused advocacy. This role offers a hybrid/remote work schedule, providing the infrastructure to collaborate seamlessly from anywhere.

The Role:

You will manage a diverse caseload defending employers against claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage and hour disputes. You will lead cases from inception through resolution, working alongside seasoned trial attorneys (including members of ABOTA).

Key Responsibilities:

·       Litigation Management: Handle all phases of discovery, including propounding/responding to requests and taking/defending depositions

·       Advocacy: Draft and argue substantive motions and represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and trials

·       Client Relations: Proactively manage client communications and ensure timely, accurate reporting in compliance with case management requirement

Requirements:

·       Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

·       Active license to practice in the State of California.

·       Must have DEFENSE experience (not plaintiff side)

·       Prior employment law experience is mandatory.

·       Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills.

·       Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.

·       Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage and meet deadlines.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary Range: up to $187,000, plus an exciting bonus program to reward outstanding performance. Actual compensation is dependent on experience and qualifications.
