Key facts Location: Berlin Engagement: Full-time Team: Engineering What you'll do Design, develop, and maintain secure and scalable backend services. Enhance system performance to achieve low latency, high throughput, and reliability. Collaborate with various teams to incorporate machine learning components into production systems. Lead technical projects, overseeing design, planning, implementation, and maintenance over a 3-9 month timeframe. Initiate improvements to operational excellence. Participate in the evolution of our architecture and engineering practices. Establish cultural standards that promote iterative development, proactive decision-making, and practical perfectionism. Requirements Over 7 years of experience in software engineering. Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js (preferably with NestJS) or similar frameworks in other languages, along with a willingness to learn TypeScript. Experience in developing and maintaining scalable and reliable microservices. Strong understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and APIs. Familiarity with cloud-native infrastructure, such as Kubernetes and GCP/AWS. A proactive mindset, with a strong sense of ownership and commitment to producing clean, practical code. Experience leading technical projects with a 3-9 month scope. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Curiosity and openness to utilizing AI-assisted coding tools.
