As a fully remote position, this role provides the flexibility and convenience of working from home while engaging with clients through our robust telehealth platform. Our work hours are structured to support work-life balance, with regular business hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. This setup allows therapists to work in a comfortable environment while providing vital mental health support to clients across various locations.

Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct thorough and personalized assessments to evaluate clients' symptoms related to eating disorders and any co-occurring mental health issues, ensuring each treatment plan is tailored to individual needs.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, using evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to guide clients on their recovery journeys.

  • Facilitate therapeutic sessions aimed at challenging and altering distorted beliefs regarding body image, eating, and self-worth, while promoting healthier perspectives and coping strategies.

  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary treatment team to provide seamless care, addressing each client’s comprehensive needs through coordinated efforts and shared insights.

  • Offer psychoeducation to clients and their families to enhance understanding of eating disorders, thereby promoting a supportive environment for recovery.

  • Maintain precise and timely documentation of treatment plans, client progress, and session notes in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

  • Participate in professional gatherings, including team meetings and case conferences, to continuously enhance clinical knowledge and contribute to best practices in eating disorder treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on individuals facing eating disorders, integrating their physical, mental, and emotional challenges into the therapeutic process. By addressing not only the psychological symptoms but also co-occurring conditions, such as anxiety and depression, the therapist will play a key role in guiding clients toward recovery and improved overall mental health.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Nevada.

  • Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based interventions specific to eating disorders, particularly employing CBT, DBT, and ACT.

  • A strong foundational understanding of the complexities surrounding eating disorders and their co-occurring mental health conditions.

  • Exceptional communication skills, allowing you to create a positive therapeutic rapport and build trust with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

  • At least two years of professional experience in treating eating disorders or similar mental health conditions.

  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual therapy practices.
  • \n
  • Experience in developing and implementing treatment programs tailored specifically for those facing eating disorders.
