Associate Veterinarian

4 Paws Pet Hospital is seeking a full‑time Veterinarian to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. About the Role You are an experienced veterinarian who has built strong relationships with patients and their families. In this role, you will practice excellent medicine, shape the clinic’s direction, partner with a growing team, and leave a lasting mark on our community. You will manage a diverse case mix—from wellness and preventive care to diagnostics, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery—working alongside a skilled team of specialists in cardiology, internal medicine, surgery, and feline medicine. Future opportunities include growing into a Medical Director position, contributing to the health of individual patients as well as the clinical culture, standards, and strategic direction of the practice. Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent degree required Minimum 3‑5 years of clinical experience in general practice preferred State Veterinary Board License in good standing for the state in which the position is located, prior to hire Active DEA license or eligibility for DEA licensure Demonstrated interest in clinical leadership, mentorship, or team development strongly preferred Experience or interest in areas such as dentistry, surgery, internal medicine, or feline medicine is a plus Compensation and Benefits Annual compensation starts at $130,000 per year, negotiable based on credentials and experience. The compensation model is progressive with no negative accrual.
