Job Description

Represents the laboratory to the public, physicians, patients and offices while assisting laboratory technical staff, receiving/accessing and/or processing specimens according to laboratory procedures. Follows established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, safety; environmental and infectious control standards so that the laboratory remains in compliance with accreditation and licensing agencies.

Required Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED Coursework/Training - Successful completion of a phlebotomy program through a post-secondary school, college, military program, employer, or an equivalent training program.
• Upon Hire: Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification or Washington Medical Assistant Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior phlebotomy experience
