Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides essential perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Ensures the operating room environment is prepared, monitors patient vital signs, and assists surgeons with specialized equipment and medication administration.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and sterile.
• Monitor and assess patients' vital signs continuously during procedures.
• Assist surgeons and healthcare providers with surgical instruments and equipment.
• Administer medications accurately as prescribed.
• Document patient care activities and surgical details in compliance with protocols.
• Operate and troubleshoot specialized surgical equipment, adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse license with current state licensure.
• Minimum of one year of recent EPIC electronic medical record experience.
• Proven experience assisting in surgical settings, especially within operating rooms.
• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing principles and aseptic techniques.
• Ability to monitor patient status and respond swiftly to changes.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
