Ready to take the lead?
Carl F. Riedell & Son is looking for an experienced HVAC Lead Installer to join our growing team. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in quality installations, can own a job from start to finish, and is willing to teach and support less-experienced installers.
What You'll Do
- Lead residential and light commercial HVAC installations from start to finish
- Install heat pumps, ductless systems, furnaces, air handlers, and related equipment
- Work alongside installation helpers and provide hands-on training and guidance
- Teach and share your knowledge with less-experienced team members
- Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications
- Perform start-ups, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- Ensure installations meet code and manufacturer specifications
- Communicate professionally with customers and the Riedell team
- Keep job sites, tools, equipment, and vehicles clean and organized
- Take ownership of the finished installation and ensure it meets Riedell's standards
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of HVAC installation experience
- Strong residential HVAC installation experience
- Experience with heat pumps, ductless systems, furnaces, and air handlers
- Strong knowledge of HVAC installation practices
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, blueprints, and specifications
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Willingness to teach and develop less-experienced installers
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license and clean driving record
- EPA certification preferred
- Dependable work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in attics, crawlspaces, basements, and varying weather conditions
