Ophthalmic Technician I

Your Mission As an Ophthalmic Technician I, you will collaborate closely with our ophthalmologists and optometrists to provide high‑quality direct patient care. What You’ll Do Obtain and document patient history Follow office workup protocols Determine visual acuity Perform automated refraction Administer eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions as ordered by a physician Perform office duties and clinical tasks – enter data into EMR and provide patient services Measure intraocular pressure (tonometry) Pre‑operative preparation of patient Maintain equipment and instruments Requirements Dependable transportation required to travel to other offices as required Must be flexible with traveling to various locations Attention to detail Maintain confidentiality Seek instruction in areas of lack of knowledge Recognize inconsistencies High school diploma or GED (associate degree preferred) 2+ years of experience in eye care preferred Perform essential functions of the position with or without accommodation, including use of power hand tools and lifting a minimum of 70 lbs.
