Field Service Engineer - Minneapolis

Salary: $74,160 - 111,240 per year Requirements:

• We require an associate degree in biomedical engineering, electrical components, or a related technical field; a bachelors degree is preferred.
• In place of a degree, we consider at least 2 years of experience in the medical device industry, field service engineering, customer-facing repair, product maintenance, or remote medical device support; 4 years is preferred.
• We need strong computer proficiency, familiarity with Windows operating systems, and proven hardware and software troubleshooting capability.
• We look for a self-driven professional who can work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with a polished and confident presence, are essential.
• Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and solid problem-solving skills are required.
• We value a strong interest in software and technology.
• The role requires the ability to travel up to 75%.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required, and we do not sponsor employment visas for this position.
• We require compliance with our standard background check and post-offer drug test, plus any customer access requirements such as immunization proof, additional screenings, or federal background checks if applicable.
• We require registration with and ongoing compliance to one or more vendor credentialing organizations, as requested by customer hospitals or health systems.

• We install and configure intraoperative ultrasound systems and transducers at customer sites so they are ready for clinical use.
• We replace parts and other components to restore equipment performance in line with manufacturer specifications.
• We operate systems and software to diagnose issues, resolve faults, and return equipment to optimal condition.
• We carry out preventive maintenance, calibration, and certification activities according to manufacturer guidelines.
• We interpret service manuals and use standard test equipment and hand tools to complete repairs.
• We advise customers on effective equipment maintenance practices.
• We apply customer management expertise to address and resolve customer needs.
• We provide phone-based support and troubleshooting assistance in accordance with service policy.
• We identify and escalate priority issues according to quality requirements.
• We accurately log customer requests in our CRM system.
• We deliver and support training for Biomed and Clinical Engineering teams when needed.
• We maintain our service workspace, meet monthly KPI targets, and prepare service documentation to support compliance requirements.
• We manage assigned inventory carefully and alert management when stock reaches minimum levels.
• We report customer satisfaction feedback, product performance observations, and suggestions for improvement to management.
