This position serves as the primary contact for pediatric patients and their families, representing the physicians' clinics both over the phone and at the front desk. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promptly answer and direct telephone calls with courtesy.
• Warmly greet patients and communicate clearly with patients and their families, keeping them well-informed.
• Accurately collect and enter demographic and insurance information into the system.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations regarding patient information.
• Schedule appointments following established protocols.
• Assist patients and guardians with patient portal setup and registration.
• Conduct patient confirmation calls and guide patients to complete necessary paperwork via the portal.
• Show compassion and respect in all interactions.
• Take and process messages promptly.
• Verify insurance coverage and collect co-payments at the time of service.
• Meet attendance and punctuality standards while working independently and as part of a team.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Preference given to graduates of accredited medical receptionist programs or candidates with two years of healthcare experience.

Experience:

Ideally two years of experience in a general medical office or similar healthcare setting. Equivalent customer service experience will be considered.

Certification:

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Mental and Physical Requirements:

Requires considerable mental concentration. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs., frequent walking, standing, turning, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, twisting, and reaching.

Working Conditions:

Medical office environment with occasional exposure to infectious diseases and challenging individuals. Minimal physical discomfort expected.
