The Senior Director - Engagement Leader will oversee the partnership with business owners to shape and execute high‑impact AI, emerging technology, and analytics initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and execution, helping turn ambitious ideas into measurable business outcomes. Leading a team of trusted consultants, you will help your team translate complex and ambiguous strategic priorities into actionable solution designs, align diverse stakeholders, and ensure initiatives deliver tangible business outcomes. As a leader within a small, high‑impact consulting team, you will bridge vision and execution—moving initiatives from concept to reality in a fast‑changing technology landscape. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with senior leaders, thrives in ambiguity, and is passionate about applying AI and emerging technologies to solve meaningful business problems in partnership with others. The Senior Director will be held accountable for defining problem-driven initiatives, securing cross-functional alignment, and managing the governance and prioritization pipeline related to their portfolio of work. This role combines responsibilities traditionally found in engagement management, product management, customer strategy, and internal consulting. What you'll do Leads collaboration with business owners to define business problems to solve and outcomes to achieve, and leads the engagement management/delivery of committed AI, analytics, data, and emerging technology initiatives aligned to the enterprise and AI strategy to achieve on success criteria aligned upon. Leads development and sequencing of multi-year AI, Analytics, data, and emerging technology initiatives into executable roadmaps to deliver on business outcomes with measurable business value in partnership with business owners and key cross functional stakeholders. Oversee end-to-end engagement delivery of key Edward Jones Labs (EJ Labs) initiatives from problem structuring through implementation and adoption, ensuring achievement of committed business outcomes and agreed upon success criteria. Intakes initiatives into EJ Labs and works to ensures cross functional alignment across business, technology, risk, and support functions for committed initiatives. Monitors and mitigates risks, resolving issues and adapting plans to maintain delivery of EJ Labs committed business outcomes and key milestones. Provides clear and consistent communication to senior leadership and other key cross functional stakeholders on EJ Lab initiatives progress, risks, and implications. Ensures adherence to enterprise firm planning, firm governance, and reporting standards in partnership with project management support from Firm Planning and EJ Labs Ops. Helps facilitate communication, issue resolution, and decision forums that keep committed initiatives moving while maintaining clarity across technical and non-technical participants (and/or raise enterprise senior leadership alignment/escalation needed). Serves as primary day-to-day partner to business owners to ensure committed initiatives stay aligned to business priorities, outcomes and value realization. Embeds continuous improvement practices, using feedback and performance insights to refine processes, tooling, and engagement management ways of working. Helps business owner drives value realization and sustained adoption, ensuring solutions deliver measurable impact. What you'll need 6+ years of experience and a bachelor's degree in Business, Strategy, Analytics, Engineering, or a related discipline. Must complete and maintain firm training on information security, privacy, risk management, and applicable governance standards. What will set you apart 11+ years of experience and a master's degree. Relevant project, agile, or delivery management experience, especially in AI, analytics, or digital product environments. Experience in program delivery, AI or digital initiative management, product management, cross functional stakeholder leadership, or cross-functional transformation work.
