Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days, 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required | On-Call: PRN Low Census

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with standard nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:6, with potential flex to 1:7 during unplanned staffing absences
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, including participation in Rapid Response situations
• Administer medications including insulin and perform telemetry monitoring as required
• Accurately document all patient care activities using Epic electronic health records
• Float within scope to meet facility needs across like units as required
• Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November) as directed by the facility

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
• Current BLS certification
• Demonstrated skills in Med/Surg, Telemetry, Insulin administration, and Rapid Response
• Experience with Epic electronic health records system
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Current ACLS and/or NIHSS certification
• Experience with MS/Tele or combined Medical Surgical and Telemetry units
