Overview Saint Michael's Medical Center is a 358-bed regional tertiary‑care, teaching, and research center in Newark, New Jersey, accredited by the Joint Commission. Responsibilities Ultrasound Technologist demonstrates competency in performing all ultrasound exams, ensuring proficiency in producing technical and diagnostic scans for interpretation. Positions patient and equipment and produces an appropriate recording. The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS. Qualifications Certification: RDMS (ARDMS) or S (ARRT) in at least one body or region required within 90 days of hire and maintained thereafter. Education: Graduate from an accredited ultrasound program or hold current certification as identified in item 1 and graduate within 90 days of hire. Experience: Previous experience preferred. BCLS: Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certificate required upon hire and maintained. Computer skills: Proficient computer skills. Benefits & Compensation Saint Michael's Medical Center offers competitive compensation. The current compensation range for this role is $38.71 to $43.61. Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or employment status. The exact starting compensation will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, considering skillset, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
