Director Of NursingClark Retirement is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team and ensure the highest standards of clinical care. The DON will be responsible and accountable for the overall management of the Nursing Department at the Franklin Campus. The DON performs all essential duties using independent judgment and discretion to implement regulations and policy.The expected salary range for this role is $110,000 - $150,000 annually based on experience and qualifications.Perks of the Job:Clinical and Leadership SupportSkilled Nursing Unit (39 beds): This small unit allows for hands-on leadership and highly personalized resident careAssisted Living Areas (71 beds): Each area has a dedicated Nurse Supervisor, ensuring consistent clinical oversight and shared supervisory responsibilityWork-Life Balance: We have a clinical on-call rotation with multiple nurse managers, so the DON is not on-call 24/7Operational Support: Clark has a full time Scheduling Manager to ensure that each shift is staffed appropriatelyClark partners with Curana Health to provide comprehensive, on-site physician servicesProfessional Impact: The DON will lead a smaller, close-knit team with the opportunity to mentor and develop staff in a meaningful, one-on-one wayRequirements:Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of MichiganBSN preferredMinimum of 3 years of experience as a supervisor in a long term care facility, hospital, or other related health care facilityExperience in geriatric and rehabilitative nursing practicesKey Skills & Qualities:Detail oriented, organized, and demonstrates time managementExcellent communication skills, verbally and in written communicationsMust possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnelMust be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.Demonstrates success in staff supervision and team managementProficient with commonly used computer programs (Outlook, Microsoft Teams) and electronic charting system (PointClickCare)Essential Job Functions:Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the nursing services, in accordance with current rules, regulations and guidelines that govern long-term care.Ensures delivery of compassionate quality care and nursing supervision.Monitors care to ensure that residents are treated with kindness, dignity and respect.Participate in surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies.Reports and investigates all allegations of resident abuse, neglect, misappropriation and injuries of unknown origin.Develops, maintains and implements nursing policies and procedures that conform to current standards of nursing practice, facility philosophy, and operational polices while maintaining compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.Participates in admission process.Facilitates and or leads daily or weekly team meetings/huddles to discuss resident status, census changes, personnel, or resident complaints or concerns.Participates in the hiring and recruitment process in partnership with Human ResourcesDirects and assists with the evaluation of the work performance of all nursing personnel, and provides coaching assistance as needed.Collaborates with physicians and physician extenders to ensure medical services are delivered to residents in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines.Assists with the development of in-service training programs.About Clark:Clark is a Life Plan Community with a continuum of care.
