Qualifications Interest in construction estimating or a related field. Some knowledge of construction processes, materials, and techniques. Ability and openness to learn estimating software such as Agtek, Excel, and Bluebeam. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in cost control measures. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, contracts, and specifications effectively. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Responsibilities Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for construction projects. Utilize estimating software such as Excel, Agtek, and Bluebeam to create detailed estimates. Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure accurate pricing and scope of work. Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather necessary data for estimates. Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and techniques to provide informed estimates.
