Location: 509 South 9th Avenue Broken Bow, NE 68822 United States of America Department: Customer Service Full/Part Time: Part Time Workplace Type: In Person Years of Experience: 0 - 1 Years Level of Education: High School Diploma Shift: Other Description: Job Summary The front desk agent will be primarily responsible for accommodating patrons by registering and assigning rooms to guests, issuing room keys or cards, transmitting and receiving messages, keeping records of occupied rooms and guests' accounts, making and confirming reservations, and presenting statements to and collecting payments from departing guests. The morning shift is from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The afternoon shift is from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Work Tasks Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests of the hotel. Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, guest registration, and travel directions, or make recommendations regarding shopping, dining, or entertainment. Issue room keys and provide information to guests related to their stay. Make and confirm reservations. Contact housekeeping or maintenance staff when guests report problems. Inspect rooms after housekeeping staff have indicated rooms are clean to ensure everything is in order prior to guest check-in. Keep records of room availability and guests' accounts, manually or using computers. Compute bills, collect payments, and make change for guests. Record guest comments or complaints, referring customers to managers as necessary. Review accounts and charges with guests during the check-out process. Transmit and receive messages, using telephones. Arrange restaurant reservations for customers. Prepare for basic food service, such as setting up continental breakfast or coffee and tea supplies.
