RN - OR Circulator Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage nursing care for patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Prepare the operating room, equipment, instruments, and supplies to ensure the room is ready for each procedure.
- Serve as the patient's advocate during surgery and ensure patient safety, positioning, and privacy throughout the procedure.
- Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technicians, and other members of the operating room team.
- Monitor and document patient status, surgical activities, medications, specimens, and other required information.
- Maintain compliance with sterile technique, infection-control standards and surgical safety protocols.
- Assist with surgical counts, specimen handling, equipment needs, and timely communication throughout the procedure.
- Active OR State Registered Nurse License
- BSN, Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- BLS, ACLS, & PALS Certification, TNCC.
- CNOR, Peri-op 101, CRASE training: If travel assignment extends beyond a 6-month period, CRASE training will be required.
- Previous RN circulator experience, Peri-op 101 course, Scrub experience.
- Additional certifications may be required
- Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
- Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., . BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements ) .
