Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic educational environment near Glendale, AZ. Multiple openings are available for passionate professionals committed to making an impact in inclusive and self-contained settings. These full-time positions span the academic year, with immediate start dates through late May 2027 (dates subject to change).
Openings include:
- Self-Contained Behavior Program: Seeking educators experienced in behavior programs. CPI certification is strongly preferred.
- Self-Contained Kindergarten Autism Program: Support students with moderate intellectual needs in a nurturing, structured classroom.
- Resource: Provide targeted interventions for a small caseload of students.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certificate (SPED Educator Cert) required
- Current IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (IVP FP Card)
- Experience working with behavior programs and/or students with autism preferred
- CPI certification desirable, especially for behavior-focused roles
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, individualized learning environment
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Employ proactive behavioral management strategies and positive reinforcement
- Maintain consistent communication with families and colleagues
- Monitor and document student progress
- Participate in team meetings and professional development
