Quality Inspector

We are looking for a Quality Inspector who will be responsible for conducting first off and last off checks using mechanical measuring equipment. This role involves acting as the release signatory for manufacturing components. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly convey inspection findings to Engineers. They should possess the ability to read Engineering Drawings and have a working knowledge of Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing. The role requires working to inspection plans and using initiative to solve problems, as well as collaborating effectively as part of a team. Ensuring timely calibration of equipment and supporting Manufacturing with the creation of inspection plans is also essential. The role includes creating First Article Inspection Reports.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct first off and last off inspections using mechanical measuring equipment.
• Act as the release signatory for manufacturing components.
• Communicate inspection findings effectively to Engineers.
• Read and interpret Engineering Drawings.
• Work with Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
• Develop and follow inspection plans.
• Collaborate with team members to solve problems.
• Ensure timely calibration of equipment.
• Support manufacturing in creating inspection plans.
• Create First Article Inspection Reports.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in inspection, quality control, and quality assurance.
• Experience with calipers and quality inspection.
• Ability to perform visual and CMM inspections.
• Familiarity with CMM software and machines, particularly aerospace standards.
• Competence in using CMM, vision system, and height gauge.
• Experience in working with tolerances of +/- 0.005".

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with Engineering diagrams.
• Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Understanding of quality control and tolerances.

Job Type & Location:

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
