Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) working full-time night shifts. This role involves planning and delivering professional nursing care tailored to the unique needs of neonatal patients, ensuring safety and comfort in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and identify patient care needs using thorough evaluations.
• Organize, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for neonates and their families.
• Serve as charge nurse when assigned, overseeing unit operations and staff coordination.
• Accurately document patient care and administer medications as prescribed.
• Recognize and respond promptly to life-threatening situations.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate actively in cost containment and accurate patient service charging.
• Adapt care approaches based on age-specific physiological and psychosocial needs.
• Support patients and families in honoring cultural and spiritual practices within medical guidelines.

Education

An Associate Degree in Nursing is required, with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

Experience

No prior experience is necessary; new graduates are welcome to apply.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in a Compact state or the applicable regional licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Effective organizational and leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of age-specific physiological, psychosocial, developmental, and spiritual needs of neonatal patients.
• Physical ability to perform duties including standing, walking, bending, and lifting, with appropriate precautions for exposure to infectious materials.
