Major Responsibilities:
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
- Gather and empty trash; service, clean, and supply restrooms
- Clean up and polish furniture, fixtures, and mirrors; dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment
- Clean or shampoo carpets
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
- Move (heavy) furniture, equipment, and supplies either manually or by using hand tools.
- Lawns and shrubbery maintenance and snow removal as directed.
- Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning duties.
- Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings.
- Must follow plant and department safety standards as well as actively promote safe work practices at the machine/workstation
- Must know quality standards and produce to specifications standards
- Must follow policies and guidelines
- Must be present for work on time as scheduled
- Must communicate well with co-workers and managers
- Must be able to read & follow written instructions
- Must maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Must maintain equipment and tools according to preventive maintenance specifications
- Must be willing to perform other duties as assigned
- Actively participate in work area improvements
- Must be willing to work overtime
- Cross-train and provide backup in department as directed.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Twist, bend/stoop, push, reach outward, reach overhead, grasp, stand, walk, climb
- Occasionally work at heights; occasionally work outside,
- Exposure to dust, fumes, gases, chemicals, paint.
- Continuously work inside
- High School Diploma and/or GED equivalency.
