HVAC Truck Based Journeyman Mechanic (union)

Responsibilities Perform maintenance, repair and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems. Work on light commercial and heavy commercial HVACR equipment, including centrifugal, steam turbines, and open‑drive screw chillers. Troubleshoot, repair and service commercial HVAC units such as rooftop units, pumps, fans, towers, boilers, chillers and compressors. Use mechanical shaft alignment tools, vibration equipment and other diagnostic instruments. Provide solutions, recommendations and quotes to customers during commissioning and aftermarket service. Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring facilities run efficiently and identifying upselling opportunities. Qualifications Minimum of three (3) years of commercial/industrial HVAC mechanical troubleshooting experience. Experience with rooftop units, pumps, fans, towers, boilers, chillers, compressors, and plumbing. Member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry. Willingness to travel 10% to 20% to support branch customers. Required to pass a knowledge examination and obtain a Universal EPA refrigerants license, applicable state or local licensing, and a valid driver’s license. Strong attention to detail, interpersonal, digital and written communication skills. Self‑starter with a passion to learn and apply knowledge on the job.
