American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Medical Rehabilitation Unit position requiring 1-2 years of experience and a CT or compact RN license.

Details

• Medically Complex Rehabilitation Unit (MRU/CMU) within a Long Term Acute Care setting
• Patient population includes LVAD, CVA, ABI, SCI, wounds, CAPD, and vent patients
• Patient ratios are 1:7 on day/evening shifts and 1:9 on nights
• Schedule options include 3x12-hour or 5x8-hour shifts, day shift 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to sister units MRU and CMU required, with additional floating possible for 12-hour shift staff

Requirements

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) required
• BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
• 1-2 years of RN experience required
• Experience with respiratory or ventilated patients strongly preferred, though RNs do not manage ventilators directly
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Willing to obtain flu vaccination or provide a medical declination (personal or religious declinations not accepted)

Additional Information

• Responsible for IV starts, drips, blood administration, EKGs, medication titrations, glucose monitoring, wound vac changes, wound dressings, trach care, suctioning, straight cath, foley care, port access, central line dressing, and wound measurements
• Orientation occurs every Monday
• Local candidates accepted at 50-mile radius rate
• First-time travelers will be considered
