Station Cook Opportunity At Pasta RamenPasta Ramen is seeking Station Cooks to join our amazing team! Welcome to Pasta Ramen, a collaboration with founders of Ani Brands Luck Sarabhayavanija and James Beard nominated Chef Robbie Felice. This new concept is a fusion of Italian and Japanese cuisine called Wafu Italian. We have introduced Pasta Ramen as the first-ever Italian ramen shop, located in Montclair New Jersey. Sensational and sacred, it blends meticulous techniques and deep flavors for an umami-rich taste, as strong as the love for an Italian grandmother's rustic cooking. We welcome you to come and join us on this exciting new journey.Responsibilities:Prepares meal ingredients as directed by the head chef, senior chef, or other staff.Prepares fresh produce by peeling, cutting, and portioning.Prepares meat by trimming, cutting, and portioning.Prepares simple dishes such as breads or salads.Mixes or prepares condiments, dressings, and sauces.Maintains compliance with applicable health, safety, food handling, and hygiene codes and standards.Assists with unloading, inspection, and storage of raw ingredients and supplies.Performs other related duties as assigned.Qualifications:Previous experience in cooking, culinary arts, or other related fieldsKnowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniquesBasic understanding of or the ability to learn basic sanitation and regulations for workplace safety.Basic understanding of or the ability to learn food handling techniques, preparation, and cooking procedures.Strong attention to detailAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work well in teamsEducation and Experience:High school or vocational school coursework in kitchen basics such as food safety, preferred.Prior related experience preferred.Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods of standing and working in a kitchen.Exposure to extreme heat, steam, and cold present in a kitchen environment.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.Must be able to work late nights and unpredictable hours.Manual dexterity to cut and chop foods and perform other related tasks.We are an equal opportunity employer and consider all qualified applicants equally without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, or disability status.
