Maintenance Planner

Maintenance PlannerThe Hourly Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning and scheduling of all maintenance in a specified area of the mill located in McComb, MS. This position receives and reviews each work order for completeness, validity of the priority, clarity, and accuracy of information. From work orders, estimates maintenance jobs showing sequence of steps, number of craftsperson's, man-hours and materials required. Pay Range: $38.17 per hour. This role offers a $1,000.00 hiring bonus. The first $500.00 installment will be paid after 90 days of successful employment with Weyerhaeuser, and another $500.00 installment at 6 months.Key Functions:Role model all safety standards/processes and on-the-job behavior by living our core principles of integrity, fairness, & creating a positive inclusive work environmentResponsible for the process of planning and scheduling of all maintenance for all production process areas and ensuring accountability of goals and objectives of teamReviews work for completeness, validity of the priority, clarity and accuracy of informationWork closely with maintenance and production teams to ensure the focus on maximum improvement of processes is realizedOwnership and contribution to Work Management SMP and contributions to other SMPsUnderstanding of cost/budget structure and help with adherence to itContribute toward planning process to include providing input, direction and solutions to issuesRecommend improvements in maintenance processesAbility to facilitate implementation of goals and objectives and achieve buy-in and support for initiativesInterfaces with and establishes positive relationships with operations and maintenance personnel to continuously improve mill operationsAs required, own or contribute to other mill functions, such as safety or environmental initiativesQualifications:High School Diploma or GEDTwo years' experience in a maintenance planner roleThorough knowledge of plant/mill operations and cost/time required for all types of maintenance workExposure to purchasing related activities in an industrial environmentAbility to promote teamworkExcellent organizational and planning skillsInitiative to get things done with minimal supervisionAdvanced computer skills in Microsoft Office suiteKnowledge of safety practices in a manufacturing environmentStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to establish positive relationships with mill leadership and hourly associatesAbility to perform the essential job functions of working in an industrial environment, such as climbing stairs and working in extreme heat and coldWillingness to support a 24/7 operating environment, which may include weekend and holiday support as conditions requiredThe following qualifications are preferred: Technical, Associate's or Bachelors' degree in a related fieldPrevious experience in a lumber manufacturing facilityPrevious maintenance experience in an industrial environmentAbout Weyerhaeuser: We sustainably manage forests and manufacture products that make the world a better place.
