Procurement Specialist

Every successful construction project depends on the right materials arriving at the right place, at the right time. This role sits at the center of that process, managing third-party suppliers, coordinating purchases, and ensuring critical building components stay aligned with project schedules. You'll work closely with Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and vendors to keep projects moving while building long-term supplier partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with third-party manufacturers and suppliers.
• Purchase building components and manufactured products.
• Review construction drawings and specifications to ensure procurement accuracy.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and purchasing agreements.
• Track purchase orders from placement through delivery.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Sales, and Engineering throughout project execution.
• Evaluate supplier performance and resolve delivery or quality issues.
• Develop procurement processes and maintain accurate vendor records.

Required Experience

• 3+ years in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or vendor management.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, construction, or industrial operations.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings.
• Strong understanding of purchasing workflows and vendor management.
• Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Nice to Have

• PEMB or steel building experience.
• Building materials or construction products background.
• Supplier quality experience.
• MBS familiarity.
• CPSM, CPIM, or related certification.
