Procurement Specialist

Position Summary: The Procurement Specialist is responsible for the acquisition of goods and services for Clementine’s Ice Cream. The primary goal is to ensure that the Clementine’s procures high-quality goods and services at the most competitive prices while adhering to proper processes, policies, and regulations. Full-Time Exempt Work location: Onsite Key Responsibilities Vendor Management: Research, evaluate and select vendors, manage vendor relationships. Negotiation & Contracts: Negotiate contract terms, pricing and service-level agreements. Purchasing: Acquire goods and services, including but not limited to supplies, raw materials and equipment for manufacturing and retail channels. Execute purchase orders, coordinate and track deliveries, ensure timeliness and accuracy. Demand Forecasting: Manage raw material inventory levels, including forecasting needs based on production schedules. Strategic Sourcing: Mitigate supply chain risks including identifying and setting up a secondary supplier program. Monitor and analyze purchasing and vendor data to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness. Identify cost-saving opportunities, monitor industry trends and develop sourcing strategies together with the CFO. Compliance & Recordkeeping: Develop company procurement policies and enforce compliance. Perform other tasks as needed. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business or related field required. At least seven to ten years’ of buying experience. Proven ability to negotiate. Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and ERP software systems (Fishbowl Inventory experience is a plus). Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. High attention to detail. Strong organizational skills.
