Hands-On Controller - Locally owned, Profitable Small Business in West Omaha - HEMPHILL EXCLUSIVE!
Excellent opportunity for a “hands on” Controller to step into this profitable, well-run local business. We are searching for an experienced individual who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and taking ownership for all aspects of accounting and bookkeeping for the company. This position will work closely with the CFO and Founder of the business and a small, experienced executive team, all of which who have been working for this company for many years.
We are searching for an experienced and well-rounded professional who will appreciate being given autonomy and trusted to deliver excellent work without necessarily needing to be in the office 8-5 every day. The business owner strongly believes in hiring great people and empowering them to manage their work responsibly - and encouraging them to head home for the day once their work is done.
- Take ownership for all aspects of accounting in QuickBooks as you handle all journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, depreciation, and reporting for two corps.
- Handle all client billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash application in a company where collections is not ever necessary.
- Ensure the accuracy of all sales & use and property tax filings.
- Work with the outside CPA at year end through the review and tax planning process.
