Mig Welder

DPI Staffing is hiring a skilled MIG Welder with experience in structural fabrication for our customer in the Portland, OR area. If you know your way around a blueprint, take pride in clean welds, and have a good eye for detail, we want to hear from you! Location: Portland, OR Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM Pay: $23.00–$26.00/hr Key Responsibilities Weld structural steel and metal components using MIG welding techniques Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols Fit, tack, and weld assemblies according to project specifications Prepare surfaces by grinding, cleaning, or cutting before welding Inspect welds for quality, strength, and accuracy Follow safety and quality standards at all times Maintain welding equipment and report any issues Work closely with fabricators, fitters, and supervisors Requirements Proven experience with MIG welding in a structural or fabrication setting Solid understanding of MIG techniques and filler materials for carbon steel Ability to read and work from blueprints and technical drawings Comfortable in a fast-paced shop environment Strong basic math and measurement skills About DPI Staffing DPI Staffing, a division of The DPI Group, offers temporary, temp-to-hire and direct hire job opportunities with top employers.
