Progressive Care Nurse

Length 3 months with possible extension Compensation Travel: $1950–$2,175/week Local: $1,656.00 – $1,794.00/hour Education Bachelor of Science with a major in nursing preferred. An associate degree in nursing is considered only with relevant experience and/or active matriculation in a BSN program Required Certifications & Licensure New York State RN License & Primary Source Verification. AHA BLS. AHA ACLS (Queens only). Duties Delivers safe, competent, quality patient care by applying the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and approved nursing standards. Assesses and evaluates patient care needs, applies critical thinking, and integrates relevant assessment and intervention skills. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in developing, implementing, and evaluating the plan of care. Educates patients and caregivers regarding the plan of care, transition of care, health promotion, and disease prevention. Documents nursing practice accurately, supports quality and safety practices, identifies and escalates safety concerns, and participates in quality improvement activities.
