About the Role: As a Dietary Services Assistant, you will play a vital part in our dining services team, assisting with meal preparation, food storage and service, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. Responsibilities: Assist with meal preparation as scheduled, including preparing items that can be made in advance under the direction of the dietary technician Prepare special or modified diets as ordered on the dietary menus and in accordance with the diet ordered for each resident Assist with meal service as directed by the Dietary Technician Ensure that foods are stored and served at appropriate temperatures Help manage food inventory by rotating stock, as directed by the dietary technician Prepare snacks as ordered on the dietary menu for service by aides three times per day Respect all resident rights while preparing and serving meals Abide by the rules and regulations set by the department of health and human services and the department of environmental health Assist with cleaning all kitchen and dining room areas, and special assigned cleaning tasks as instructed by the dietary technician Ensure that all cooking materials and resident dinnerware is cleaned after each meal Participate in job-related training activities and perform other job-related duties as delegated by the supervisor and/or Administration Requirements: Must be eligible for hire and receive facility orientation Must be able to lift up to 20lbs., stand for long periods of time, and perform bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching tasks Must be able to read and write ServeSafe certification within the last two (2) years preferred Benefits: Daily pay through PayActiv Health, Dental, and Life Insurance Flexible Schedules 12 hr and 8 Hr Shift Options #J-18808-Ljbffr Jonas Ridge Assisted Living
