JOB TITLE:
FIREFIGHTER VOLUNTEER
DEPARTMENT:
City of Tipp City Fire & Emergency Services
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Under the direction of a Captain performs all functions associated with fire suppression rescue haz-mat and fire prevention.
SALARY RANGE:
Hourly pay is $16.50 per hour for incident response work details & training.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicant must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
At the time of application applicant must possess and provide copies of the following required certifications or be able to obtain: (1) Firefighter I or II- State of Ohio (2) NIMS ICS-100 and IS 700 training certificates (3) CPR card.
Must obtain CPR certification within thirty days (30) of appointment.
Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license and remain insurable under the Citys vehicle insurance plan.
APPOINTMENT PROCEDURE:
Selection process includes: a review of cover letter and resume. If selected the applicant will be required to sit in person for interviews. Candidate will be required to complete a drug screening basic medical exam criminal background check a drivers license and personal background investigation. Appointment procedure will be based on the number of qualified candidates. First appointment dates will begin as soon as possible.
