This position is designed for those with a passion for emergency medicine and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Shift Information Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00) Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care in the Emergency Department, focused on both adult and pediatric patients. Conduct assessments and interpret dysrhythmias, and manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and failure. Administer blood products and manage central lines. Perform phlebotomy and start IVs, ensuring proper technique and patient comfort. Administer emergency medications, IV vasopressors, and oversee procedural sedation administration. Maintain high standards of infection control and adhere to isolation precautions. Float to other units as necessary, based on census needs. Participate in weekly rotations, including every other weekend. Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of experience in an emergency room setting is required. Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS. Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV placement. Experience with Epic charting is preferred. Professional Skills Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias effectively. Proficient in blood product administration and emergency medication protocols. Experience with managing patients under continuous IV sedation and paralytics. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Team-oriented mindset with a focus on collaborative patient care.
