About us

Wildwood Barbeque in Hadley, MA seeks a front-of-house management trainee to learn all aspects of running a small, independent restaurant. Train with (and eventually replace) outgoing FOH manager who leaves in September.

Ideal candidate has a good mix of weekday/weekend availability (part time this summer and full time in fall), reliable transportation, and a desire to learn and grow in the restaurant business.

The front-of-house manager:

-Mentors and trains front-of-house staff

-Runs day and evening shifts (including cash management, opening, and closing)

-Responds to customer inquiries

-Takes and oversees catering orders

-Inventories and purchases restaurant supplies

-Handles staff time-off requests and helps make weekly staff schedule

Preferred qualifications:

-1+ years of front-of-house experience (quick-serve casual restaurant experience a plus)

-Strong customer service and organizational skills

-Experience in running shifts, including opening/closing, and cash management

-TIPs and/or ServSafe training a plus

Wed-Sunday hours with no late nights. Position offers hourly rate plus tips, paid sick time, and retirement account with employer match. Email with resume/relevant experience and availability.

Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
