Responsibilities As a Technical Fiber Splicer, you are responsible for creating end-to-end fiber optic networks. You believe in doing the job correctly, being the best, and are prepared for the challenge. Additionally, you will perform the following tasks:

• Test and troubleshoot fiber optic network continuity
• Operate all testing equipment and be skilled in resolving common challenges in fiber optic networks
• Have experience in preparing fiber splicing boxes, such as Tyco, Commscope, Corning, etc.
• Use fusion splicers, OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) testing equipment 1310, 1550, DWDM, CWDM, 945 OLTS, Max Tester, and power meter
• Have knowledge of fiber engineering, read documentation, understand light levels, and dB loss
• Work on outdoor utility construction sites

Qualifications About you: Safety is part of your daily routine. You have a proven track record of completing work with a high level of quality. You have the ability to solve difficult problems and enjoy a practical approach to your work. You are looking for long-term projects. You enjoy getting your hands dirty with your team. You have 3 to 5 years of fiber splicing and troubleshooting experience. You are comfortable working on a ladder or in a bucket truck. You have the ability to solve difficult problems and enjoy a practical approach to your work. You have a proven track record of completing work with a high level of quality. You are flexible and enjoy a variety of shifts, including overtime.
