Senior Cost Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $80,000 to $120,000 per year.

Job Description:

• Assist with the monthly financial close process and ensure the accuracy of system generated transactions and manual entries
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations to assist in the month-end close process
• Analyze inventory variances by location, product category, etc.
• Compile, analyze and communicate monthly scrap and shrinkage results
• Perform various ad hoc analyses to support cross-functional teams

Requirements:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Problem solving and analytical skills

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and a minimum of 2 years' relevant experience
